How do I use a Diablo 2 CD key?
Q. Hello. I recently bought the diablo battle chest, but i cant find the cd key, and its the first game i've bought that actually has one, so if anyone can help me I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

I read in several places that you can download the software free from blizzard if you have a valid cd key. Does anyone know where i can quickly download the expansion software quickly without having to wait through a 12 hour torrent?

A. Since the CD key is specific to the installation CD's, if you cannot get the disks to install, you will need to buy another copy of the game. Alternatively, you may try to copy the files off the CD's into directories on your desktop and install it from there.

A. only if your going to use single player, if you try multiplayer it will simply tell you the cdkey is in use when u try to logon. if you want to run multiple copies of d2 at the same time try onlayers pack :)

I need help registering my Diablo 2 CD-Key!?
Q. I bought a used copy of Diablo II but it doesn't have the Play CD, so I figured if I registered my CD key, I could just download the game for free and use my CD-key. So I enter my CD-key in the registry on battle.net and it said "I entered a cd-key for Diablo II" and it tells me to choose a language. So I choose English Us-(Win) (Mac) and I hit the add game button. But it just resets the pull down menu to "select a language" and nothing happens. I tried it over and over and doesn't work. I've tried restarting my pc, deleting all the cookies, everything. I just want to play Diablo! :(

A. Sorry, but you're flat out of luck. It's good that you have the game installed, because at least you can play, but you won't be able to put D2 and LOD onto your battle.net account without the keys. As far as I know, there's no way to datamine the keys off of your current install. Otherwise, key thievery and battle.net hijacking of keys would be a much bigger business than it already is.
