What does this GK Chesterton quote mean?
Q. "Love is not blind; that is the last thing it is. Love is bound; and the more it is bound the less it is blind." I believe this quote is about the fact that when we see people for who we are, and if we do love them, that we will accept everything about them.

A. Flambeau??? I'm not totally sure on this one. He was an ex-criminal, I believe a cat burglar and he certainly assisted Father Brown in some of the stories but I can't really say that he was an assistant.

A. Alfred Joyce Kilmer (6 December 1886 30 July 1918) was an American journalist, poet, literary critic, lecturer and editor. Though a prolific poet whose works celebrated the common beauty of the natural world as well as his religious faith, Kilmer is remembered most for a poem entitled "Trees" (1913) which was published in the collection Trees and Other Poems in 1914. While most of his works are unknown, a select few of his poems remain popular and are published frequently in anthologies. Several critics, both Kilmer's contemporaries and modern scholars, disparaged Kilmer's work as being too simple, overly sentimental, and that his style was far too traditional, even archaic. Moving to Chicago working in Chesterton IN?
Q. Where is the best place to live to commute and experience the nightlife of chicago for someone who is 35 y/o and single? Is Chicago for young 20somethings or are there 30 somethings around?
Asked by suravadene - Tue Aug 8 22:57:37 2006 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments

A. I'd look to live in the Tinley Park/Orland Park area. It is south but a very nice area. It is very close to I-80 so you can hop on that and be in Chesterton relatively easily. It is also fairly easy to get downtown. There is alot in the Orland Park area that is attractive -- from shopping to restaurants -- that are also located downtown. It is one of the most reasonably priced areas in Chicago for what is still a very nice area to live.

A. Like others of his generation--Oscar Wilde and Bernard Shaw come to mind--Chesterton was a witty man who was fond of paradoxes. So he writes entertainingly, and he writes with his tongue in his cheek. Since the quotation was so short, I wanted to read it in context, but after half an hour I couldn't find it, and I gave it up. The time wasn't wasted. I enjoy reading Chesterton! Chesterton was caustic on the subject of education, so you can read his quotation literally. If we are uneducated, then we do not have the background to challenge the foolish and misleading information and advice we receive from educators. Since I can't analyze Chesterton's statement in context, let me give you a sampling of his opinions about education. "[Wom [cont.]
