How do i become a good starcraft player?
Q. Every time i start to play starcraft i get crushed 10 minets into the game. What strategies can i use to be a good starcraft player?
Asked by 11111 - Sun Apr 4 20:09:28 2010 - - 4 Answers - 1 Comments
A. You have to learn your races advantages and disadvantages; the best players know what units to use at every specific situation. Know your opposing race's weaknesses too. For example, if you're facing a protoss player and he just sent in a massive attack, he is very vulnerable, he probably just used up most of his units and it is your time to strike. I'm a Zerg player myself, and as a zerg player I know my units aren't strong alone. So I attack in massive groups, even with my strongest units, and always take the long route, the least expected way to my objective. I also know never to use all of my units at once, but to attack in waves. You have to first find the right race in order to succeed. They are a follows: Zerg-Ground based swarm… [cont.]

How long is a starcraft cd key supposed to be?
Q. I have this new starcraft cd battle chest, and my cd key is long - about 26 characters. Is this the way it's supposed to be? I thought it was thirteen - please help me. Thanks!

A. Yes, 26 characters is how long your CD key is supposed to be if you just recently got it and it's new. The older versions of starcraft had the thirteen character serial numbers but they changed it.

A. Play 1v1 vs a computer...once you win a 1v1 play a 1v2...then 1v3, 1v4...etc Then when you become confident in your abilities play on Battle.net vs real players. Watch replays to view what you did wrong and what your opponents strategy was. Protoss: Strong units but expensive...most versatile unit: Dragoon Zerg: Cheaper units able to produce quickly...need a lot of hatcheries...most versatile unit: Hydralisk Terran: Units with very good defense and abilities...most versatile unit: Goliath

How can I send my starcraft file to my other computer wirelessly?
Q. I want to send my Starcraft file from my Windows Vista to my Widows XP how can I do this wirelessly? I tried emailing and stuff but it won't work because the file is too big.

A. Did you use Winzip or Winrar to shrink the files? You can use HJSplit to split the Winrar/Winzip file into multiple files. If you still can't email the file, then upload it to some upload sites, like Rapidshare or Megaupload.

What website can give really good Starcraft tips?
Q. I really suck at Starcraft. I need some tips. So can someone give me a website that is filled with great tips. But if you give me a website, can you at least give me some tips of your own.

A. there really isn't a website for good starcraft strategies. Since it's such a big game around the globe the most strategies that make it up to the internet in writing is usually out dated. I usually just watch Korean pro-gamers play on youtube. he puts up starcraft broodwar games about 1or 2 days after they're played in Korea. I end up following most of their strategies.

How, in StarCraft 2, can you access the armory and mercs after endgame?
Q. I beat the StarCraft 2 campaign and got credits for purchasing things, but can't access the Armory and Mercs. I can only get to the Mission Archives to replay stuff. I can play a new campaign, but my upgrades and research aren't there. Is it possible to visit it again, and if not, how can you get the achievement for buying all armory/merc upgrades?
Asked by Shane - Fri Jul 30 17:54:15 2010 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Probably the best way to do this would be to load a saved profile just before you finish the game and try and buy all the merc contracts and armor upgrades. Either that or restart your campaign.

What video card do i need to get to play starcraft 2 in highest resolution with no lag?
Q. Every time i put it in the highest resolution for starcraft 2 beta. The performance decreases. The graphic look awesome when it's on the highest. What video card should i get that can still run fast and smooth when put in the highest resolution?
Asked by Loser-neverwin - Thu Apr 29 08:54:29 2010 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. it depends on your budget and the slot available on your board! Some of the bigger faster cards require a bigger better power supply with 6 pin connectors so read the specs carefully before you buy anything. The best cards cost the most money, but you can increase your performance by getting a card with GDDR (not standard DDR). This is memory specifically developed for graphics cards and is designed to work by giving a greater memory speed and memory bandwidth from a lower more efficient memory bus. For future gaming compatibility you want something that is all ready DX11 ready. Not knowing your PC specs and particularly your PSU capabilities means I am not going to recommend a specific card, but I personally prefer NVidia cards… [cont.]

How do you play starcraft on lan with one computer using xp and another a macbook?
Q. Me and my roommates play starcraft on lan using ipx but one of our roommates can't play with us because he is using a mac.
Asked by RJ - Mon Jan 28 11:47:31 2008 - - 2 Answers - 2 Comments
A. Too bad Greg S doesn't know starcraft was also made for the mac. As for the answer. You will first want to be sure all three of you have the same patch, preferably the latest. Then you should try udp. This option should be right there with modem, battle.net and ipx. To successfully run it on udp all three of you need to have tcp/ip protocol Installed for your ethernet card. If that fails to work, you might try all of you just getting on battle.net and playing amongst yourselves there (if you try to play with others while you're in the house your latency will likely be much too high).

Q. I have been anxiously awaiting and saving up for StarCraft 2, but my parents won't let me buy it! They don't want any games on our computer because they think that games slow it down and fill it with viruses. A. I had the same problem with a game long time ago... You should explain to them that there is no way that the game would get you a virus. The company would lose tons of money... so it would be like impossible to get a virus from an original game :B (especially from Starcraft... it was launched internationally so I doubt it would harm your computer) If your parents are still unsure, you can ask the guys form the shop. They would explain to your parents that its completely harmless to install it. But it can slow down your computer depending on the requirements... you should check them before buying it. (it would totally suck if you cant play it after trying to convince them...) -Go to -Select Starcraft 2 -Click continue It should scan… [cont.]

A. Building yourself you could get away with 500 CDN. Pre built... like over 1000 CDN. By the way, building it yourself is like building lego. Go to PC Hardware Discussion on Gamespot and tell them your budget, and they will tell you what to order. Then just look up a video or picture guide on how to do it. Always order from Newegg. It's real cheap with excellent customer service. P.S: If you have no mouse, keyboard and monitor add like 170. Good luck.

What was the largest prize pool in competitive starcraft?
Q. What was the largest prize pool from any tournament, any country? Also, if possible, which player has earned the most from professional starcraft, and how much have they earned?
Asked by Phate4219 - Sun Jul 4 02:00:08 2010 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. When it comes to earnings from in professional starcraft, a lot of the income actually comes from sponsors, contracts or endorsements, rather than the actual prize pool themselves. The highest paid is perhaps Nada, who has recently signed a contract for $690,000 US over 3 years (average $230,000 a year). Although 'Slayers Boxer' is able to be regarded as the highest paid starcraft professional at $780,000 US over 3 years, assuming all goes well. In the end, it's not the prize pool which professional starcraft players are interested in, but the sponsors and endorsements, etc, which provide them with their income.
