How well does non-alcoholic witch hazel compare to the regular witch hazel?
Q. The regular has some alcohol and there is non-alcoholic witch hazel as well. Will the non-alcoholic work just as good for my face (i have acne)? Anyone ever used the non-alcoholic witch hazel?

A. the non-alcoholic witch hazel wont dry out your skin as much as the normal version. its alot more gentle to the skin so if your skin isnt really oily then i suggest the non-alcoholic version.

A. Witch Hazel is astringent for outside and inside and works on sore muscles. So, no, don't use it for cramps. You can drink Raspberry Leaf tea found in the ground isle or buy it fresh from www.dandesoap.com. Raspberry leaf strengthens the uterus and your menstrual flow is clean and symptoms are almost none, and your period lasts about 5 days because it helps the cycle complete without strain on your system. Hot coffee or Hot chocolate are wonderful for cramping, but for the long haul, keep raspberry leaf tea in your routine of eating habits. You can sweeten and drink cold if you prefer.

How fast does Witch Hazel work on insect bites?
Q. Well my cat sleeps in my bed a lot and she got fleas and I have bites all over my legs! I changed the sheets on my bed but I still have flea bites and I just put witch hazel on them, how fast should they go away if I do this every day? And yeah we're going to get flea medicine for the cat soon.

Witch hazel is great for your skin and also good to use after shaving to help prevent razor burn.I make my own astringent with it,you use witch hazel,alum(it's a powder used in cooking that helps to tighten the pores)and a few drops of tea tree oil which is good for skin.It really helps with acne and doesn't over dry your skin.I like to keep mine in the fridge cause then it feels cool and like it's really working.It's great in the summer too and cools your skin down.I sometimes add a few drops of peppermint to it for the tingly and cool feeling and it smells good too.Hope you like my weird little recipes and i really don't measure anything.Enjoy

A. YES - put the hot cloth on your acne - that will open and loosen the pore of the acne. Witch Hazel is good because it contains no alcohol and gentle to your skin. It is good to keep it in the refrigerator - will feel good on your skin. I used it when I had acne as a teenager (am 45 years old now) and my Mom told me it worked for her as a teenager - so I tried and yes - IT WORKS! Good luck! P.S. I did it on my peircings but yes witch hazel is great for cuts, piercings etc. Also there is a salt water wash that I did on my belly button which helped ALOT When did you get your piercing? Have you heard of a sitz bath that you use herbs such as Witch Hazel in? Have you tried it? How was it?
Q. I heard a "sitz bath" would be great. I'm not talking about plain water or water with iodine it it. I don't have the little tub thing but I found a product that is made especially for after birth pain and healing. It has a bunch of stuff in it plus Witch Hazel. You put it in the tub and sit in it for awhile. Have you heard of it? Was it good? I want to use it tonight but I want to hear more about it first. I gave birth 5 days ago.
